- The grace of the Holy Dew Spirit came down for the first time in March 1955. Upon its descent I made what is called the water of life.
- By then Ms. Yungshin Im and Mr. Chiyung Yoon had experienced grace and took part in the worship service, clapping their hands, sitting on straw mats among the sick and suffering. They consistently gave this testimony before many people at my meetings and elsewhere: “Sick people, almost cadaverous, putrid with the smell of rotting flesh, under a death sentence from hospitals that had pronounced them incurable, told to go home and wait for their last day―they came from all over in truckloads, trainloads, some carried prone on stretchers. But the place where they gathered had no hint of the stench. On the contrary, it was filled with such an indescribable fragrance?”

In the case of Dr. Changsoon Chay, formerly the minister of social welfare, as soon as he was admitted to the Severance Hospital with a broken leg, I went over and gave my blessing: “Your leg is joined now, so get up and run.”
He hesitated. As a medical doctor, he feared that if he stood before his bones fully set he might permanently damage the bones and become a cripple. But after watching my power at work, he decided to have faith. He rose and ran up and down the stairs, to which he gave witness at every tent meeting, wherever we went. - Then, what is the reason for designating May as the Season of the Holy Dew Spirit? Because the greatest quantity of the Holy Dew Spirit came down during the latter part of May.

이슬성신이 처음 내렸을 때
- 이슬성신의 은혜가 처음 내린 것이 1955년 3월에 내렸어요. 그게 내리자마자 생수라는 걸 만들었어요.
- 그때 임영신 씨니 윤치영 씨니 다 은혜를 입고 거적때기에 앉아서, 그 많은 환자가 온 속에서도 손바닥을 치면서 예배를 봤어요. 그런데 이분들 말이 “그렇게도 송장이 다 되다시피 한, 시체 같은 그런 병자들이, 어느 병원에서도, ‘당신 고칠 수 없으니 퇴원하세요. 그날을 기다리세요.’ 하는 건 사형선고인데, 그걸 받은 사람들이 거기 다 모여드는 상태에, 고름냄새, 반 송장내 나는 그런 정도의 환자들이 트럭으로 기차로 모조리 밀려와서 들것에 들려 와 누워 있는 속에서, 그런 냄새는 하나도 없고 웬 향취가 그렇게도 기막힌 게 나나?” 하는 걸 늘 많은 사람 앞에서 간증을 하고, 내 집회 때 나와서 간증을 했어요.
- 또 최창순 박사, 사회부 장관 지낸 사람도 다리가 부러져 세브란스병원에 입원한 것을 금방 가서 축복해서 “다리가 붙었으니 이제 일어나서 뛰세요.” 하니, 그가 의학 박사예요, “아, 이거 일어났다가는 다시 이어도 바로 맞춰지지를 않아서 병신이 되겠는데.” 하는 걸로 망설이다가 내 권능 베푸는 걸 본 상태에서 그대로 믿고 일어서 가지고는 계단을 올려 뛰고 내려 뛰고 한 그것을 간 곳마다 천막집회에서 계속 간증을 했어요.
- 그럼 이슬성신절을 5월 달에 정한 건 뭣이냐? 최고로 이슬성신이 내린 때가 5월 하순인 고로 이때를 이슬성신절로 정한 거예요.
