God Who Bring Forth the Holy Dew Spirit
The Holy Dew Spirit is something mankind had never heard of or witnessed until God, who came in human form, brought it forth. It is the spirit of God, the holiest of holy spirits that God sends out to save man at the end of the time.
In the 1950s, when the Chunbukyo Church was still new, the spirit came down like misty dew during tent meetings held at Mt. Namsan and on the sands of the River Han. It was so thick that people could not see through it. At that time, people did not know what it was. But, later, they came to know that it was the Holy Dew Spirit descending from the “Olive Tree” at the end of time, as predicted in the Bible’s Book of Hosea.
Numerous people who received the grace of the Holy Dew Spirit felt the worry and uneasiness in their minds replaced with overflowing joy and delight as their sins washed away. Among the people who experienced such ecstasy receiving the spirit were Mr. Chi-young Yoon, then renowned statesman; Ms. Yeong-sin Yim, president of Joongang University; and Dr. Chang-soon Choi, minister of social affairs. Also among them were nearly all the country’s Christian pastors. However, those pastors who at first rejoiced to witness the Holy Dew Spirit changed their attitudes when they learned that the grace like dew is mentioned in Hosea 14:5 to be descended from the Olive Tree, the God who came to earth in human form. They began to persecute and obstruct, trying by all means to prevent the people from receiving the Holy Dew Spirit, blocking the way to salvation. It was none other than the work of the devil.
In the Bible, you can find quite a few references to the people who were alleged to have received the grace of the Holy Spirit, but most of them actually recount the works of the devil. For example, the so-called apostles of Jesus thought talking in tongues, the typical devil’s work, was a sign of receiving the Holy Spirit and it was admired. The Bible says that to get salvation is far more difficult than a camel passing through the eye of a needle, denoting the virtual impossibility of achieving salvation. However, it is the power and might of the Holy Dew Spirit that makes the impossible possible, transforming the human composition from something destined to rot and die to that of an everlasting being.
Worthless and miserable are the souls of those who fail to reach salvation and fall into hell. But, if a human achieves salvation and transforms into an eternal being, the value of his life is much more precious than that of the universe, even that of an infinite pile of diamonds, each of them as big as the universe. Then, how about the value of the Holy Dew Spirit that gives such salvation to mortals? It is simply indescribable. Such power of the Holy Dew Spirit has been fully and clearly demonstrated when it makes the corpse bloom. Normally, when someone dies, the corpse turns ugly, rigid, and pale. It is an unavoidable fate of every human being. It does not matter how rich, powerful or famous they might have been. However, once the Holy Dew Spirit enters, the corpse blooms fairer and more beautiful than when it was alive. It is possible only by the power of the Holy Dew Spirit that destroys the devils of death, making the human mind, formerly stained by sin, bloom like a lily.
Today is Holy Dew Spirit Day. On this special occasion, all the people on earth should celebrate it with joy and delight and thank God for bringing forth the precious Holy Dew Spirit.
